Always heartfelt thanks for loving me and my music!!!
I enjoy turning up the radio in our home to the sounds of good ole Classic Country Music playing in the house and thus, the inspiration and the birth of my production, "Lisa Hewitt's Little Ole Opry". Pursuing the dream of this show has been so refreshing! I grew up on the sounds of Country Legends like, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Dolly Parton, Portar Wagoner, Tammy Wynette, George Jones, Buck Owens (and that list goes on!)…..So, to step onto our Little Ole Opry stage that looks so much like the old Rymen with the amazing players in my band, The Trads, is truly joy to my ears and my heart! I hope that with this retro, classy, slick show, "The Little Ole Opry", we can take folks down memory lane with songs of their past, but also, educate a new generation of listeners. For our youth to know and understand the heritage of country music is essential to its essence. To know how pure and simple music can be, is a beautiful thing!!! I LOVE that our show does this- I LOVE that we keep it Classic and deliver this music so beautifully and honestly!
I look forward to seeing you in the audience!! Keep in touch with me on FACEBOOK or drop me an email! I always love hearing from you! You, fans, have shown me love for 18 years now! I love you right back!!!
SEPTEMBER 1, 2015
I LOVE fall...it is such a beautiful season. As the earth prepares to rest for the winter; the leaves and trees changing colors, the harvest of the fields, closing of campgrounds and the geese flying south, so many other aspects of life are being revived for the season- our children and teachers are back to school-excited for new experiences, our churches prepare for a new season of study, parents of hockey kids and dancers are racing around, etc....there is a definite hustle and bustle in the Autumn air.
And I and the boys in the band are anticipating our Fall/Harvest performance at the beautiful, historic FORT EDMONTON Park. Be sure to check their website for details. www.fortedmontonpark.ca. Looking forward to gracing the stage of the gorgeous Capitol Theatre!!
Thanks so much to Canadian Radio for playing my latest Single, "If I Could"(Tim Carroll)
It is great to be in the studio working on new material as I write, compile and record music that I LOVE...and that YOU LOVE!!! I will continue to "Keep it Country" for you! Be sure to watch for Facebook updates on the single and where we are out playing music LIVE! There is nothing I love more in the biz, than to keep the music live and in person! Being with the fans and bringing you the "true to your roots" kinda country music is what I will continue to do! So, be watching, listening and requesting my music. Love you all!
May the true meaning of Christmas be your blessing during this holiday season.
"The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace."
